About The Speaker

Shrikant is a design practitioner turned academician with an industry experience of 22 years. He is an alumnus o IDC School of Design at IIT, Mumbai and has a diverse experience of working in multiple areas like manufacturing, telecom and banking with organizations like TechMahindra, Fiserv and Barclays. He is currently associated as a professor with the User Experience Design (UED) department of MIT Institute of Design (MITID) Pune. In his previous stint as UX practitioner, he has been instrumental in setting up UX design teams in India for global organizations and setting up design practices for greater collaboration for delivering UX design services from India to global clients. Shrikant also had been associated with the startup eco-system as a design mentor through multiple accelerator and open innovation programs.

Currently he is pursuing his Doctoral Research with Department of Design, IIT Guwahati. His research interest is research-practice gap in HCI and communication and creative practices within UX design practice in context of emerging technologies.
